Because WeCraft ERP is an interlocking system of recipes, stock adjustments, and sales, a deleted raw material could potentially orphan historical data. To prevent this, WeCraft employs strict Data Integrity rules.
Soft Deletes vs. Hard Deletes
You cannot "Hard Delete" a raw material if it has ever been used in a completed batch job. If you try, the system will warn you and perform a "Soft Delete" (archive) instead.
Archiving an item removes it from your active views and dropdown menus, but preserves the historical COGS data for your past financial reports.
Running an Integrity Check
If you suspect your Total Asset Value is calculating incorrectly, you can run an automated diagnostic.
- Go to Universal Search Hub or Auditor Activity Log.
- Click Run Ledger Diagnostics.
- The system will scan thousands of rows of ledger entries to ensure
(Beginning Inventory + Purchases) - (COGS + Adjustments) = Current Inventory.
If the system finds a floating discrepancy (usually caused by a manual adjustment entered during a temporary network outage), it will flag the specific ledger entry so you can manually repair it.
