If your workshop can only produce 10 units a day because of curing times, machine run-time, or kiln space, your "margin" has to cover the overhead of the space for that entire day. If a 3D print takes 12 hours, that machine is "occupied." Even if you only spent 5 minutes starting it, that machine’s "rent" for those 12 hours is a cost. If you aren't factoring machine depreciation or workshop utility costs into your margin, you aren't running a business; you’re subsidizing a hobby.
